I am a teacher and a perpetual student. I believe in being a work in progress, leaning heavily into the process part of progress.

MY MISSION

I believe in providing space for anyone and everyone to settle into what they need that day. I believe in movement as an opportunity to engage with our bodies and center ourselves whilst allowing the wandering mind to continue on its journey or take respite for a bit.

MY CLASS

In my class, you can expect lighthearted communication, encouragement of thoughtful contemplation, and a structure to explore how movement is a part of your story. Join me for a slower yet challenging flow centered around mobility, alignment-based cues and an emphasis on refinements.

YOGA EDUCATOR, RYT 500

MY MISSION

My mission is to “first, do no harm” I focus on safe alignment, muscle engagement, and adjustments to help make poses achievable and safe. I concentrate on getting the benefit of the pose, instead of getting into the "perfect” shape of the pose. My class is an invitation to exercise your mind and body to create a connections that promotes a greater sense of wellbeing.

MY CLASS

I design classes to increase strength and mobility, whether that is retaining what you have or regaining what you have lost. I include asana, breathwork, and targeted mobility exercises. You can expect to have a greater understanding of how your body works, more ease in the movement of your body, and maybe even a little fun.

BRANDI (she/her)

Yoga Educator, Ryt 200, PRYT

I am a yoga teacher, psychology professor and writer of all things yoga. I am also a mama to two bio daughters and two stepsons. I believe in savoring the little joys of life, such as a sweet yoga flow, a walk with the dogs, and those first sips of coffee. For me, yoga is about living authentically as our true selves without pretense or expectation. My time on my mat fosters the authenticity that I wish to radiate in my life beyond the mat.

MY MISSION

I believe in creating space for students to be true to themselves and to receive what they need from the practice. Reasons for coming to our mats are as diverse as the humans upon them. And these reasons, like so many aspects of ourselves, can change from moment to moment. Take what you need, leave behind what you do not, even change your mind if you wish, but no matter what, be authentically you.

MY CLASS

I offer an open-level, steadily paced class with many opportunities to do what feels authentic and good to you. Expect harmony in emphasis on alignment and guided flow from one posture to the next. My classes are thematically developed for finding meaning, joy and authenticity in the practice while also prioritizing safety.

CONNIE (she/her)

Intuitive Healer & Sacred Space Holder, E-RYT 500, RPYS, CD(DONA), HHC

MY MISSION

As a sacred space holder with an extensive background teaching hatha yoga, prenatal yoga and meditation, birth work, and now as a healer, I hold the energy of the midwife and priestess. This translates into the way I hold people in a safe container that is grounded and loving to conjure desires unfulfilled and release old versions that no longer serve. I desire to remind those I work with to remember who they truly are and why they are here. The world needs us in our fullest expression!

MY SESSIONS

My sessions at Yoga Mechanics bring women together in circle. Our themed gatherings create closeness in our community, where we explore our needs and wishes while holding one another in challenging times while celebrating life’s wins. These circles are not therapy, rather they are a lifeline to recalibrate our spirits and empower our visions. We get to discover who we are becoming together.

FERNANDO– (he/him)

YOGA EDUCATOR, RYT 500

After a debilitating car accident and subsequent surgeries, doctors said my active lifestyle was over! Losing my physical abilities allowed me no choice but to shift my focus to my mind and how it operates. I found a new level of respect and appreciation for my body’s natural ability to overcome injury and heal itself. I developed a new more complete understanding of my inner workings.

MY MISSION

My mission is to show people that our pain is the path to our liberation. It’s our gift, not a cross to bear.

MY CLASS

In my class you can expect to breathe and move in new ways. To find light and space in the neglected areas on the body and mind.

I feel that movement, especially through yoga, is a fundamental aspect of self care. I want to help adults move through class and their daily life dynamically.

MY CLASS

In my class, students can expect to play with balance and stability that they can take with them off the mat. I will hold space for students to move in whatever body they are in today, which can be very different than yesterday.

Practice with me at a gentle pace, exploring postures, breathing exercises, and meditations designed to promote both inner peace and physical strength. Each class unfolds around a unique theme, like "Cultivating Gratitude" or "Finding Balance." We'll use props to support alignment and make the practice accessible to all bodies. Through mindful movement, mantras, and mudras, you'll be able to connect with your inner self and discover something personally meaningful to carry with you beyond the mat.

You can expect to have fun and to leave grounded, refreshed and energized.

My Class

KELLY (she/her/hers)

kelly.png

YOGA EDUCATOR

MY MISSION

I offer an inclusive space for students to think, move and be messy. I share practical yogic and somatic tools that will support and challenge each student’s conscious relationship with themselves and their everyday experience.   My classes are stitched together with humor, my lived experiences, and my knowledge of functional movement.

MY CLASS

Yoga is a somatic practice and embodied moving mediation. In my class, we will move our minds around our bodies. We will honor what you bring to your mat while we will navigate precise, dynamic movements with slow breathwork that will bolster your daily life.

LYNN (she/her)

Yoga Educator, Ryt 200

MY MISSION

Yoga, at its fundamental form, is a tool we can all access to bring about mental clarity, physical restoration, and self-awareness. That alone makes this practice worth sharing. Yoga in its highest form becomes a lifestyle. One in which lasting change can ultimately lead to inner peace. To withhold such a power would be to disregard the very fundamental idea of yoga- to yoke, unite, come together. My mission is to bring this multifaceted practice to your mat, hoping you’ll continue to carry it with you even after you’ve stepped off.

MY CLASS

My idea of a perfect class consists of equal parts, strength, and stretch. Yoga is the harmonious balance that exists between the two, both in a physical sense and in life. Sometimes we need to be flexible in our movements, our thinking, our expectations, while other times we need to be grounded and steadfast in our beliefs. Whether it’s within our poses or our chakras, the key is to finding that balance and knowing when to hold strong or when to let your flexibility carry you into the next move.

KERI (she/her)

MY MISSION

I want to help people embrace "the middle", the transitions, the awkward. Yoga in real life is finding value in the parts that are not all figured out. We learn and grow from embracing the "suck" of everyday life. As a yoga teacher I help you do this on your mat so you are better able to bring it into your real life. Oh and I like to make people laugh.

MY CLASS

My class is truly accessible to all. I like the challenge of finding a way into the body, whatever that body is, to make these poses feel good and new to you. I want you to experience yoga on your terms in order to feel free in the body to get on with all the other non yoga aspects of life. It's not about touching your toes, its about getting your head out of your a**.

I crack dad jokes, and am nerdy about anatomy and the mind body connection. I like to make the entire class feel like they are a part of community and that this practice is for EVERYONE, regardless of shape, color, or flexibility.

KRYSTAL (she/her)

Yoga Educator, Ryt 500

I grew up a mover; a college athlete and over 10 years a dancer. I soon found myself entangled in the sedentary life and chaos of the fashion industry's corporate America. Then, enter Yoga from stage right. A practice that has always offered me a personally-curated sanctuary and a safe container for solace.

MY MISSION

My mission is to offer a safe space that allows my students to hold sacred space, movement, and time for themselves. I hope to guide my collective through moments of rework, reprieve, and hopefully, resolve. For many years, this practice and especially the community of YM has held me closely and safely, in every iteration of "me". To be able to offer that same lens is truly where my heart teaches from.

MY CLASS

My class is designed to feel like… let's call it a hug for the nervous system! Through gentle and restorative movements, I invite you to show up exactly as you are in the moment, take what you need, and leave the rest. My classes offer this practice of yoga as a lens into our lives, in that half of the "work" is just in showing up and honoring your journey in this sometimes treacherous landscape of life. Most importantly, I hope my classes remind you that you are never alone and that together as one, we "keep going" on the mat and through life.

MARC (he/him)

This is my wish.

My Class

My recipe for a meaningful and comprehensive class ~

I plan each class with great love and precision.

Main Ingredients:

1. A nugget of Yoga/Ayurveda philosophy + 2. Mindful, alignment-based asana, + 3. Yoga Nidra and/or Meditation.

Add your presence and trust.

Therein lies the magic.
