Launching During Menopause Awareness Month

Menopause Yoga uses adapted yoga poses, breathing exercises and mindful meditation to support women currently going through perimenopause and menopause. We practice Menopause Yoga to encourage embracing the changes in our lives. It's an opportunity to become more self-aware and be empowered in our minds and bodies.

We begin with a discussion circle about the theme of the month (this could be related to a symptom or a season of life in the female body).  Class continues with breathing techniques and movement in support of the class theme. We conclude with an extended restorative pose and savasana.

Class is open to students with memberships, class packs or try out the experience with a drop-in class.

I have been practicing yoga for about 30 years. Becoming a yoga teacher felt like the next step to both deepen my own practice as well as share my experiences with others.

MY MISSION

I feel that movement, especially through yoga, is a fundamental aspect of self care. I want to help adults move through class and their daily life dynamically.

MY CLASS

In my class, students can expect to play with balance and stability that they can take with them off the mat. I will hold space for students to move in whatever body they are in today, which can be very different than yesterday.
